We started and ended our vacation in Quito, the capital of Ecuador. Since we were traveling with Gate 1 Travel, they booked our rooms. While in Quito, the capital of Ecuador, we stayed at Hilton Colón.

Hilton Colón Hotel is located in the city’s heart on Amazonas Avenue in Quito. The location is perfect, as many art galleries, museums, and local restaurants can be found.
We truly enjoyed using the hotel’s backdoor to walk to the handicraft market and nearby coffee shops.

Yes! Hilton Colón is located in a good area of Quito, Ecuador. They are across from El Ejido Park. Plaza Foch is about five minutes away, within 15 minutes of Quito’s old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its colonial architecture.

During our Gate 1 Travel to Ecuador, our party consisted of 3 people (my husband, son, and myself). Gate 1 Travel booked us a Triple Room, and it worked perfectly. My Dutch husband is 6’4, and a double bed would have been uncomfortable for us to share. The way Gate 1 Travel made the reservation allowed us to have our own bed and rest after a long flight.
