Yes! You can book a massage at the Spa reception at the Termas de Papallacta Resort and Spa.

When we visited in July, the Spa was very busy; therefore, I recommend booking your spa package or massage beforehand. We booked our treatments through Gate 1 Travel before arriving. We thoroughly enjoyed the massage.

Our massage started with 30 minutes in the Spa pools. The pools differ from the ones from the hotel, and you can jump from one to another. After that, our attendant came to look for us to take us to the steam bath. There we enjoyed 20 minutes of steam and eucalyptus. Once that was complete, we were taken to the massage room. We had a relaxing massage followed by hot tea and then the relaxation room. We slept amazingly that night.

The Termas de Papallacta Resort and Spa has chalet-style rooms that share a set of pools with 3 or 4 other chalets. This makes the pools feel very private.

The rooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable. The walk-in shower was very spacious. The floors were nice and warm thanks to the thermal heating underneath. Our tour guide suggested finding the warm spots on the floor and leaving our bathing suits to dry overnight. It worked perfectly!

During our Gate 1 Travel to Ecuador, our party consisted of 3 people (my husband, son, and myself). Gate 1 Travel booked us a triple room, and it worked nicely. We could sleep on our beds to get a good night’s sleep.

Some rooms do have fireplaces. When we visited in July, our room did not have one; however, we slept nicely in the warm temperature of the thermal heating underneath the floor.

The Termas de Papallacta Resort and Spa is unique due to its thermal pools, beautiful flora and fauna, and how it was designed. It is tranquil and gorgeous.
